Upgrade Information
Since the launch of the BNR in 2001, the Bank of Canada has released several new bank notes. The BNR requires an upgrade in order to identify the new $100, $20 and $50.
This upgrade can be performed at your local CNIB office and will only take a few minutes. Please contact the CNIB or visit the CNIB website to find your local office.
Once upgraded, your BNR will identify bank notes from both the old and new series and retain all the useful features that it had before the upgrade.
